    Collapse overview
My lab’s current focus is on pediatric high grade glioma (pHGG) driven by H3K27M and H3G34R histone mutations, which result in profound epigenetic dysregulation to drive tumorigenesis. This research addresses a critical unmet medical need as there are no effective therapies for these tumors. My ongoing studies center around the hypothesis that aberrant chromatin regulation in glioma gives rise to clinically-relevant cancer phenotypes including, tumor initiating cancer stem cells (CSCs) and drug resistant subpopulations. The overall goals of my lab are to determine how chromatin dysregulation drives CSC maintenance and the development of therapeutic resistance on a mechanistic level, and to leverage this knowledge towards the development of new therapies.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
