I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with secondary appointments in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Section of Health Services Research. I joined the Baylor faculty in 2016 and was tasked with developing and implementing a psychology service, embedded in the Baylor Gastroenterology Clinic, for patients with digestive diseases and other serious and chronic medical conditions. My clinical practice focuses on the integration of psychological services within medical care settings.

My research interests include psychological aspects of medical illness and dissemination and implementation in the area of patient safety. As a member of the Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety, I am active in team science activities in the latter area.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
