I am a Professor of Pediatrics and a Neonatologist at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. I have had the opportunity to train in India, United Kingdom and the US. My goal is to advance the paradigm of precision medicine in Neonatology via the use of multiomics, clinical data and machine learning to derive predictive models and identify biomarkers for mortality and morbidity in very preterm infants. My earlier research both translational and clinical, focused on neonatal infections and the developing microbiome in preterm infants. I am passionate about advancing evidence based medicine and evidence based practice in Pediatrics.
