    Mary Rocha, MD, MPH is nationally recognized medical education scholar with an interest in how learning occurs during the period of transition from medical school to internship. She regularly leads peer-reviewed national faculty development workshops on medical education research and writing methods. She is a graduate of various advanced courses in medical education and has expertise in survey and validation methods.

    Dr. Rocha and colleagues have received recognition for their scholarship by both medical education journal editorial boards and the American Association of Medical Colleges. She is a past recipient of two educational grants and a professional development leadership award from the BCM Department of Pediatrics and she is the recipient of 2 peer-reviewed educator (Fulbright and Jaworski) awards from BCM.

    Dr. Rocha has served in various educational leadership roles at BCM including Director of the Pediatric SubInternship and Interim/Associate Director of the Pediatric Clerkship. Nationally, she serves in educational scholarship leadership, faculty development, and/or editorial roles for the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academic Pediatric Association, and the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics.
