    Being board certified in infectious diseases, Dr. Correa’s interests are in the areas of immunizations, vaccine safety and periodic fever syndromes. He provides independent safety monitoring for clinical trials involving newer vaccines, such as H1N1 (2009) influenza and rotavirus.

He provides independent safety monitoring for clinical trials involving newer vaccines, such as H1N1 (2009) influenza and rotavirus. He is also collaborating in a study to validate a new biomarker of β cell death in pediatric type 1 diabetes.
