    Collapse Overview
    Collapse overview
Dr. Davis is a Professor of Pediatrics at the USDA/ARS Children’s Nutrition Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on the nutritional regulation of protein metabolism and growth in early life. She is investigating the mechanisms by which nutrients, hormones, and growth factors regulate protein deposition during growth and development. Current studies are identifying the molecular mechanism by which leucine regulates protein synthesis and growth, determining the impact of prematurity on the anabolic response to nutrition, and developing new strategies to enhance protein synthesis and deposition in skeletal muscle of the neonate.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
