    Uma Ramamurthy is the Executive Director, Research IT in the Office of Research, and Associate Professor in the Research Resources Office of the Department of Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital. She has training/education in Electrical Engineering and Computer & Information Sciences, and is an expert in technology management in bio-medical and research IT. Her expertise includes design, development and management of IT systems for medical research, clinical trials and imaging; Experience in managing hardware deployments and software systems development including databases, application software, mobile apps and Internet technologies.

    Professional Interests: Architectures for health IT systems, paperless infrastructure for clinical trials, innovative IT solutions for medical research.
