Dr. Peter I. Tsai’s research focuses on aneurysmal or traumatic presentations of aortic pathology requiring repair. Dr. Tsai and his colleagues have devised custom-fenestrated endovascular stents to repair aortic transections or aneurysms involving arch or abdominal branches.
At Ben Taub Hospital, Dr. Peter Tsai and the Ben Taub team provide state-of-the-art cardiology and cardiovascular services to Harris County residents.
Dr. Tsai specializes in coronary arterial disease, cardiac valve pathologies related to the aorta, mitral and tricuspid valves, and aortic root problems. In conjunction with members of the vascular service, the team can address almost all traumatic aortic transections endovascularly. They are also heavily invested in the treatment of pulmonary diseases, addressing lung cancer and infection, mediastinal tumors, and chest wall pathologies.
